Contents of THQueenGlutathione Glutathione is a very potent antioxidant that cells make to protect themselves from damage caused by hydrogen peroxide generated as part of metabolic activities within every cell of our bodies. Comprised of three amino acids (cysteine, glutamate, and glycine), Glutathione also plays a role in the processing of various nutrients, and helps regulate such important cellular events as gene expression, DNA and protein synthesis, cell growth, and immune response. Glutathione taken orally breaks down in the stomach into its 3 constituent aminos and thus does not function as a whole unit. However, when released in the mouth in the right form, it can reach the circulatory system quickly and thus be available to augment the body's own native glutathione. | ||||||
